Cuyabeno Laguna - Ecuador
This is a photo of the Lagoon that forms on the Cuyabeno River (an Amazon Tributary) during the rainy season. It was particularity beautiful at sunset, especially when swimming in the warm slow moving water. There is an amazing abundance of birds, many monkeys, piranhas and even pink freshwater dolphins. Incredibly, because of the water PH, there were practically no mosquitoes. It was wonderful here.
